I had the original taper copy his master cassette taped with a Sony D-6 Pro Cassette recorder to DAT for me and I am now trading it out so we can all help preserve another great Crowes show.

Show was mastered on 60 minute cassettes.

I closed four small gaps from tape flips
in Soundforge 7. 
#1 at 28:48 #2 at 54:01 #3 at 120:10
and #4 at 140:00.  
#1 thru #3 were inbetween songs but #4 was during Jealous Again
and after the flip the levels were lowered a little bit.

Sound quality is really,really good. Easy to listen to.

I had the original taper copy his master cassette taped with a Sony D-6 Pro Cassette recorder to DAT for me and I am now trading it out so we can all help preserve another great Crowes show.

There are a few level fluctuations during the 1st song and then one or two small brief ones during the show....nothing major.

I closed two small gaps from tape flips in Soundforge 7. They were at 37:40 & 75:26. They were inbetween songs & no music was lost.

Jeff Cease was really tearing it up on Shake'em On Down! A MUST hear !!Actually Johnny Colt was superb too !! Shit....This is why I love this and !

Chris'ism....Were finishing up here tonight after 16 months of touring...
             'cause I don't count Los Angeles as a real place .

Guess Chris doesn't live in a real place ??

This is the best and most complete source I've heard from this show.
Many others I've heard suffer from distortion, missing songs, or cuts
between songs. I seeded the set without the encore here last spring hoping that somebody would seed the encore (CD 2) as I didn't have it. Nobody did seed it, but now I've got it so I'm offering the entire show up to you. This was originally on two silvers with the cue stops in weird places, so
I combined it all and then split it up with the cue stops in much more suitable spots. This is 81:37, so it fits on one overburned disc using Nero's overburn feature. If you do not have overburn you'll probably need to put this on two discs.

Jeff Cease makes a strong case for his dismissal from the band, but other than that this is a classic, energetic, fantastic, must-have performance for any Crowes fan, or music fan for that matter. Chris Robinson does his best Steve Marriott/Humble Pie imitation to great effect! Great sound!

Notes: I bought this cd on a store about 15 years ago. This is an incomplete show, "You're Wrong" was the third song played, but is not included on this version. Track 08 is mis-labeled on the cover, it should be "Shake Em On Down". I've been searching for more information on the Internet, and i found that this is an FM Broadcast. If anyone as more information please please post it on the comments. The sound is excelent. See the sound samples. The artwork included is the same as my version, but as a low resolution (found it on the net), cause at the moment my scanner is broken.

I think this is something rare. this show was listed in Crowesbase as not recorded. Here you get a fresh transfer from my Master Cassette. It's not complete, missing most probably the first two songs (comparing to other setlists of that tour) and the beginning of You're Wrong. And 15 years later I have absolutely no idea if I missed the beginning of the show, and why...But now I can give something back to this great community. enjoy!!

OK. Here are two sources for you. Both these will fit onto one CD as the show was only 33 min.

The first is from a DAT (yes, way back in '91!) and it is I am told a DAT Clone two away from the master.

The DAT source is clear and clean BUT it is a little distant and the crowd is a little rowdy.

The Analog source is from 2nd Gen cassette tapes and this source was recorded much closer to the speakers and has much less audience noise.

Here is the 1st digital transfer of this 25yo master cassette tape - yet another original master recording salvaged from the dark recesses of sjk20's attic! Many, many thanks to sjk20 for making this rare recording available.

Minimal processing has been done - the gain on the right track increased to match the left more closely; some creative fades on the tape flip & end of set track & the beginning & ends of the encore tracks  to mask the severe 'pause' noise - what our tapers did to conserve tape, eh?? There is other 'noise' on some of the tracks, which I have not attempted to remove, maybe some soul with more time & a better clue to what they're doing may be able to clean it up. Unfortunalty, the end of 'Dreams' is missing due to running out of tape & our taper not carrying a spare - tho' to be fair, we must remember that 90 minutes+ was considered a long set back in '91!!

This recording has been produced for free trade only so, please share nicely! MP3 it STRICTLY for PERSONAL USE ONLY! And don't be selling it anywhere, ESPECIALLY on ebay, you know it's just not the done thing!
