Note: Sound Forge used to splice audio discs 1&2 back together into one complete WAV file.  Original split was right after "Farmer John" and both audio discs had sufficient overlap to allow a seamless splice. 

Sound Forge also used to remove the following flaws that were present on the source recording:

- Dropout during "Will The Wolf Survive" at 2:05 removed
- End of "We're Gonna Rock" missing - faded out at 2:14
- Dropout during "Walking Song" at 2:18 removed

Sector boundaries verified with shntool (v.1.01)

A 45min portion of this recording has circulated for years on cassette, but not only was it incomplete but it also was noticeably inferior in quality.  Thanks are due to Charlie for supplying me a copy from his PCM clone - an extremely rare all-digital recording from the early days.  Enjoy - this is a gem!

Notes from Dan Gale (dgale@loslobos.org) on 25-Nov-2006:

This recording was torrented on Dime or bt-etree (I can't remember which) with
incomplete source info.  The original source was an unindexed CD from an
unknown generation cassette that was provided by Mauro Regis to Pierluigi
Tomaselli.  I modified this text file to reflect the correct lineage
information, add track times and a few other minor edits. In addition, I
changed the track names to reflect common naming convention and edited the MD5s
to recognize these corrected track names but otherwise made no changes to the
tracks or the actual MD5 checksums.

In regard to the show, near as I can tell from the recording, the encore break
was after "Why Do You Do?", although most other shows from this era have the
main set ending with the Don't Worry baby/300 Pounds/La Bamba medley.  Either
which way, this recording is presumably incomplete as there is no explaination
why the set is so much shorter then all others from this era.  It is possible
that they were playing with other bands this night or some similar reason why
they would have a shortened set, but none of the between song band talking
makes any mention of anthing to indicate this.

Monitor soundboard feed with 2 Crown PZM microphones mounted on the low ceiling over the stage + 1 ambient microphone mounted on the stage right side balcony front railing  > Dolby C Maxell XLII-S cassette masters > Yamaha MT44D 4 channel recorder (4 channels of 45 minutes per 90 min. tape in one direction when sensor is on back of cassette).

Transfer: Yamaha MT44D (Dolby C decoded) > Macintosh with Echo Layla audio interface > AIFF > Pro Tools (digital matrix mix, normalization, time alignment, tracking, plus a few minor clicks manually removed) > AIFF > xAct (FLAC level 8 files with sector boundaries verified). md5 file created with checkSum+.

Any previous copies of this source were from an analog mix. This is the first time this has been digitally mixed directly from the 4 channel raw AIFF files [2007].

I thought about waiting until Christmas to upload this show since it has a Christmas song on it, but stuff is piling up on the hard drives and I have to start catching up! So now you can get this one ready to listen to during your entire holiday season!

The opener for this show was The Screaming Sirens and their set will be seeded separately (whenever I can finish it).
