I made a PROMISE to the person who gave me this back in 1981 to NOT give it out.
Here it is 34 YEARS later in 2014 & I have keep that promise....up until NOW.

The word WAS...it came from a girl who didn't want to fall out of good graces with the band.
She asked that it NOT be shared.

That promise I made has been respected for 34 YEARS.
Now that I am letting go of it, I STILL feel BAD for beaking my WORD.
I DID PROMISE not to share it.

I am OLD SCHOOL.
A promise is a promise. I take great pride that I am a man of my word because THAT is ALL we have, our WORD.

Being THAT, in 2014, I think it may be time I let GO without fear I am doing anyone wrong.
It has been 34 YEARS.

I was told, there were actually 4 TAPES of these rehearsal sessions.
This came from an un named girl who kindly shared this tape with an old friend of mine who supplied me with at LEAST 75% of the tapes I have collected since begening of my tape collecting in the Fall of 1977.

This is a RARE glimpse into one of the BEST BANDS EVER....that's right...EVER...to learn & work out some new songs as they prepared for a tour & an LP release.

I first made the TAPE > CDR transfer in 2004.
It was a rough one to track.
I tried many many times to get it "just exactly perfect".
That was never quite accomplished & after X amount of tries, I gave up on perfect tracking.

SO,....here it IS,  best I could manage some 34 YEARS later from 2 CD's I made back in 2004 from 1  4th gen (?) cassette tape I got in 1981.

Tapes played on a Sony TC-W320 > a Marantz CDR 500 CDR recorder (2004) > (March 21st 2014) EAC >  wav > flac level 8

Raw tape transfer, unedited, shared at LL, 03/21/2014   (in honor of my CAR which turns 21 years OLD TODAY..!)

that's right, my CAR. The CARS are smarter.......the cars are smarter that's RIGHT.
