New Skin Apology.
Had to change a different skin so that i could split my list up...my whole list was not opening all the time. Sorry, all. Hate this format but what ya gonna do.
The lists are now arranged alphabetically. Click on "view list" at the bottom of the page." That will bring up the 4 lists to choose from (A-H, I-O, P-Z & a 4th list that contains everything...sometimes it loads and sometimes it don't). Once in one of the lists you have links to the other three.
Once in a list, click on "view" for complete show info (setlist, special guest info, and (if it's a commercial boot) the title, manufacturer and catalog number)
Technical Stuff:
I use a Microboards QD-52 standalone burner and Taiyo Yuden discs.  I do not check discs before i send them out but any discs with problems will be replaced no questions asked.
Trading Rules:
In General, no MP3 sourced material (unless i can't find the artist/show in another format). Â I don't have the ability to check this so if you do and you discover one of my selections has an MP3 history please let me know so i can alert others --i'll also be happy to send you another selection if you want one.
Let me know about any known flaws prior to the trade (the show doesn't have to be perfect but too many glitches can make a show unlistenable for me). Please, burn in DAO (disc at once...as in, no gaps between tracks). If you don't know what this is, please ask.
No generic, "no-name" or cheap discs (such as memorex, imation, etc)....i've had problems copying them.
Don't write on the discs. Label discs with a either a plain piece of paper or post-it type sticky.
Please don't send beat up, scratched discs (sorry, but i've been getting these lately and it's just plain rude). Â i'm going to send pristine discs and i expect the same.
Send discs in their own cd envelopes (one per envelope) and mail in bubble (not padded/fiber filled) envelopes.
If we haven't traded before and i contact you, i'm happy to send discs first. If you contact me first, i'll wait until your discs arrive before sending out mine (sorry, but i've been ripped off twice).
Sound Ratings:
I have tried to be conservative when it comes to rating sound quality but ultimately this is very subjective.
"A's" are generally sound boards or pristine audience recordings. "A-'s" are generally lesser quality sound boards or very good audience recordings. "B+'s" are still generally good to very good quality audience recordings and "B's" are still decent. From "B-" on down things start to get dicier and are usually included because they are the best if not the only recordings i've found of that date or by that artist.
In general, I am more forgiving of older recordings so an "A" for a late 60s show will in many instances not be as good as an "A" rating for a show from the 90s. Â It's simply what I consider to be an "A" recording for the time.
Bottom line, if you're not happy with a disc just tell me and i'll send you something else no questions asked. Making sure that both of us are happy at the end of the trade is the most important thing.
Show Dates/Venues: Dates beginning in "00"?means either that I don't know the date or that the disc is a compilation in which case the year entered is the earliest year on the recording (shows with "various" venues, cities, states/countries are compilations). Â Click on the show date for details.
Artwork:
Perhaps 1/4 of the stuff i have has artwork that i can copy -- if it's a listed as a commercial boot then there's a good chance i've got the artwork for it -- usually includes set list and recording info).
If i've got artwork and you want it it's a 2 for 1 (with the cost of color cartridges being what they are, copying the covers is the most expensive part of the whole deal). If you've got artwork and I want it i'll burn 2 for your 1.
Feedback:
Leaving postive feedback for good traders and negative feedback for the bad is the best way we have of letting each other know who's for real and who the rip-off artists are. I'll leave comments for you and i'd appreciate if you'd do the same for me.
Trading Philosophy:
For me, this is about the love of the music and the opportunity to share it with others who share the same passion and are tired of being ripped off by the bootleg companies (who in turn are ripping off the artists).
We're all dealing with way too much stress so trading shouldn't add to it. I'll either get my discs out to you quick (a 20 disc trade usually takes me no more than a week to turn around) or let you know that life's a little crazy at the moment and so it might take a little longer. Of late, life's been crazy so it's taken me longer to turn around a trade. If i take longer than i said it would take i'll throw in extras (helps relieve my guilt)
Most important thing is be up front and communicate alot(shit happens; it's how we deal with the shit that matters).
I never sell so don't bother asking.
B&P's welcome if i have the time.
happy trading.
