Obviously, I'm into collecting Dead and Dead related music, and I attempt to acquire only the highest quality sounding shows (I know that there's plenty AUD heads out there, but I like to hear Jerry's amp fuzz and Bobby's snide, off mic comments, neither of which you can get off of an audience recording!) Either way, if you see something off of my list that interests you, give me a holler cause I'm always up for a trade. Besides the basic trade etiquette, there's a few points that I like to stress: - NO generic discs (Mitsui, Sony, TDK, Fuji preferred) - DAO ALWAYS - NO writing on discs of any sort (just slip a piece of paper in with the disc, I can figure it out from there) - NO fiber mailers - I try to make anyone that I'm trading with aware of any flaws on a specific show, and I would appreciate the same in return. It sucks to find out a show that's listed as an A+ with good lineage, ends up being a digital copy of a tape, or whatever else results in a bad sounding show. If it doesn't sound great, say so, and I will do the same. Also, all of my grades are based solely on sound quality (not performance quality!!) and are subjective grades according to my ears. Anything that's an audience source, won't be rated above an A (unless it deserves it!) and anything SBD should be an A or higher. I know that these are pretty basic guidelines, but I'm still surprised to see them not followed. Other than that, I'm pretty easy going, and am a fanatic for any HQ Dead show not in my collection. I'm also highly interested in the Black Crowes, String Cheese Incident, Marley, Phish, MMW, and am looking for any good jazz boots (i.e. Miles Davis, Coltrane, Thelonious, Charles Mingus.)
