1. I prefer trading in SHNs, though WAV audio is fine too. 2. If trading audio, use EAC; no disc-to-disc copying 3. Burn DAO, never TAO 4. No MP3s unless informed in advance 5. Use name brand discs; I use Mitsui, Fuji, Sony. Please send in bubble packaging (or equivalent), and the discs must be in sleeves. I take care of all my discs, so I expect yours to be copied from discs that have been taken care of. Bottom line, just communicate about everything, and we can work something out. 6. No trading of commercial releases, offical bootlegs, etc. 7. If you have any problems on your discs, please let me know before we trade and I will try to do the same for you. If you have any queries please ask. 8. Please mark shows clearly...not on the disc, but w/ some piece of paper slipped into the sleeve or written on the sleeve flap, identifying the artist, date, location, and disc # Please include the show/set info. It can be a real pain to try figuring out what exactly a show is, particularly if I have a lot of trades working at once. 9. Please extract discs to your hard drive w/ Exact Audio Copy before burning the CD. Don't work in other applications while extracting or burning. I'm running into a lot of problems these days w/ digi-noise, pops, clicks, etc. This can make the shows untradeable. 10: While grading is fairly subjective, I think that my ratings are resonably accurate. An "A" rating generally indicates soundboard / FM broadcast recordings. Most listenable audience recordings are in the B- to B+ range, although with some of the newer equipment, I'm starting to see A-/A quality audience recordings Anything below a B- I would categorize as being for "completists only" or if you were at the show. 11.Communication is key;I don't mind waiting, just as long as I know the timeline on the trade. I understand about job and family responsibilties, I have the same. Enjoy the music, and spread the music. 12:What I am looking for: good shows of bands on my list, but I am especially looking for any good quality shows from Beth Orton, Dead Can Dance/Lisa Gerrard,Mike Oldfield,Tangerine Dream, Sarah McLachlan,Bruce Cockburn, Neil Young, Ry Cooder, Celtic and European folk bands,European prog-rock, ambient/space music, world music, ECM artists, Coltrane, Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy, Oregon. I don't put all the shows I'm looking for on my want list, so if you see something you want that I have just ask, if I don't see anything on your list that I'm interested in, we can do a B&P. When you do a B&P follow these instructions: http://www.mcnichol.com/bnp/
