Please Read:
None of my audio is sourced from mp3 or any lossy format and has no lossy compression in it's lineage of any kind unless labeled as such. I do spectral analysis with EAC on a wav ripped from every disc I obtain to ensure this. This includes, but is not limited to, all of my Sublime discs, including many recordings that are not available from a non-mp3 source anywhere else on the internet and all are for trade.
Audio I have in data formats such as APE, FLAC & SHN can be decompressed to wav and burnt in audio cd-r format if you would prefer. Also, audio cd-rs in my collection can be ripped to a lossless format (APE, SHN, or FLAC) with EAC (secure), and burnt in data format as well if you'd like. Source information is provided in my list, or can be provided upon request if not. The format listed for audio on my list indicates only what format I received it in. It's available to you basically in any format you'd like.
I can burn data to dvd, so the media count for all audio data on my list is subjective, as many albums can be burnt to one data dvd.
My Rules:
1- Burn DAO (Disc at Once) when burning audio cd-rs
2- Do not trade me mp3/lossy sourced audio without notifying me of this through your list or otherwise beforehand. (if I discover something you've traded me is lossy sourced that you weren't aware of I won't hold it against you though)
3- Do not burn discs 'on the fly' (aka "quick copy" mode.) If you are burning audio discs the best way is to rip to wav with EAC first, but if you do not have EAC, always burn discs by recording the entire disc image of the source first before burning, not 'on the fly.'Â Video dvds shouldn't be burnt this way either b/c of higher risk for errors.
4- Burn dvds DAO, (probably the default setting of your burning program)
5- Close any other running programs before burning discs. This is very important and prevents burning errors Â
6- Use high quality media. If you are unsure of what media is high quality & what is not, I suggest you check out the information & forum at http://www.cdfreaks.com, an excellent resource. IÂ use made in Japan Taiyo Yuden made discs for dvd media and made in Japan Taiyo Yuden made cd-rs or Ritek made cd-rs at worst.
7- Copy in sp mode whenever dubbing vhs, and do not copy audio tapes on "quick copy" (if this ever comes up.)
8. It's sad I have to say this, but when dealing with me, please be respectful. We are human beings & the majority of us are adults, there is no reason for us not to display this in our behavior.
I'm looking to add as much tradable reggae & hip-hop as possible to my collection but am open to offers of music from all genres. I am also open to B&P offers.
peace
