This is Trudatman's CD list of master recordings (see http://amorica.us for the whole trade list). If you want to trade, read this whole introduction.
Listed shows are complete without cuts or major sound issues; I know them well, so I can and will tell you if there is the slightest problem with a show you request. Many shows I taped myself. I have not included any inaudible recordings, and most people would find an A graded CD enjoyable and a B graded CD listenable. A's are great, B's have issues and C's aren't listed. My email addresses are: trudatman [AT] fourwalledworld [DOT] net and titlesong [AT] gmail [DOT] com. You can feel free to email me at either, but keep in mind that I don't open attachments (so put your list in the main text of the email). Some artists frown upon trading of their shows, so secure permission from the artists. I may not be able to trade certain shows (Super 400 soundboards, for example) due to exclusivity agreements (sorry; this is a list of what I don't need, more than it is a list of what I can send out in a trade, but, hey, ask anyway). The shows that are marked with an exclamation point are highly recommended because you can only find it on my list, or it's perfect, or it's a better version than you'll find elsewhere, or something like that.
I have very specific trading rules, because I have been doing this for a decade and I have learned a lot about maintaining the integrity of the recordings. If you send something I can't use for sending out to others (because it is cut, or the discs were ruined), I won't send you my end. So, pay attention to make sure you send whole shows, and send all discs in ***individual jewel cases*** and in ***bubblewrap envelopes*** (I insist). Don't send me two discs in one paper sleeve and expect me to send you anything in return. If you use sleeves, the discs have contact with outside forces and the sleeves during shipment, and they'll arrive buffed and scratched; thus, don't use sleeves! Cracked or disjointed cases are okay; they just need to protect the CDs from outside forces. Cases allow the disc surface to go untouched because the inner edge is the only place contact with the disc itself is made. Also, do not put any stickers on the disc surface, they can strip the reflective coat off, add size and unbalanced weight to the disc and ruin players. Do what you can to avoid fingerprints and dust, especially with plain, silver blanks (Matt, Nick). I have thrown away hundreds of "traded" CDs because they arrive damaged (scratched, buffed, cracked, broken because they were shipped underprotected or improperly protected, without cases) or the music is cut. This is why I ask that you ship first; I refuse to send something to someone in exchange for trash. If you use your CDs as coasters, or slide them in and out of car stereos every day, or don't hold them by the hole and edge, you problably shouldn't trade with me. I take care of my CDs; if you don't, let's forget it.
I am not interested in any shows that are cut in any way (missing songs, gaps in music or between tracks, first note or chord of song missing, etc.) or sourced from MP3s, MD (rare exceptions made; ask), or other sources with low sampling rates, but I am interested in upgrades (better copies) or alternate sources of shows I have listed (only supllemental and upgrade sources can be sent incomplete, and I must be told ahead of time that there is an issue). Only send in music format; no FLAC (format, source is fine) or whatever else y'all computer people use. Make sure you don't have any other programs running on your computer (screen savers, auto-shutoff of anything, etc.) while burning; this causes skips in the music.
A checklist summary:
1- make sure that no music is cut, missing, dropped out, obscured....
2- make sure it is not on my list already (unless I agree that I want an upgrade)
3- don't write on the disc (unless you write on the inner ring, like: 311 - 3/11/06 - 1/3; if you don't understand exactly what I mean, don't even get out your pen)
4- don't stick ANYTHING to the disc; no exceptions
5- handle the discs by the extreme edges
6- put each disc in it's own slimline CASE (no sleeves); no exceptions
7- send in bubblewrap envelopes; no exceptions
8- avoid getting the discs dusty, dirty, bumped, buffed, burned, melted....
"SB" means soundboard. "Am" means analog cassette tape master. "FM" means radio broadcast. "DVC" means digital video cassette tape. "DAT" means digital audio cassette tape. "EQ60" means 30 band left channel and 30 band right channel equalizer. Thus, Am>EQ60>CD means I burned a CD of my analog master tweaked through my equalizer. If you notice any errors in my list (misspellings, incorrect or incomplete dates, locations or sources) and you know the correct information, please email it to me; rewards are possible! Please note that listed shows that start after midnight reflect the true date (not the night before) in this list. Feel free to ask about things not listed.
