One of the worst concerts I've ever been to...No...it does not reflect on this recording, which is not my best, but well sounding. It was just all the things surrounding
this show. First of all I'll never understand, why Gleis 22 was noted as one of Germany's finest clubs for live music. It's just a plain even room, with no upper levels in
the back, so all people are on standing on the same height. Definitely a downer to last week's fine Underground club in Koeln. Second is the chatty students crowd, who seem
most likely to enjoy themselves, their actions, more than what's going up onstage. I don't want to be unfair to those people who were there party, as the music's just fine for
that, but it takes the third downer to really understand: THIS WAS BRUTALLY LOUD. And I mean what I say. During the first 3-4 songs I only heard white noise, and the screams
and loud shoutings from the audience. I can't recall any concert in the last 10+ years at such a volume level. Absolutely no go... So, when these three downers get together, you
can image the hell I was in...But...these mighty fine OKM2Rs never let you down. And the recording sounds pretty good to my ears...
Ok, on a musical note, this 3-piece band from Belgium mixes up well some blues, some stoner rock, some classic rock, some swampy rhythms and bring their self emulgated music
in a very grand style. I highly recommed listening to their records, but as I said, the live experience is a much tougher thing to do. I really hope you like what you hear,
as this was not only done with LOVE but also with PATIENCE...Enjoy, SB.
