Tech NoteSTEREOPHONICS - SECC, GALSGOW 2nd DECEMBER 2008 - MASTER RECORDING I got free tickets for this show - funny, Stereophonics are a band whose singles I've always liked but I've never seen them or owned an album - so I took this opportunity to see them on the first date of their "Greatest Hits Tour". I even took Mrs Dunsy. This was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. A great atmposphere. It can't be much fun to attend gigs with someone who's recording it I have have to say, when you can't really get into it in case your enjoyment is caught on tape. So this goes out to the long suffering partners / wives etc of the taper's here on Dime - it's an affliction I guess. Our seats were way up in the 'gods', 4 rows from the back, slightly to the left hand side if the stage, under the low roof. Perhaps not the greatest place to record from but it turned out pretty good if a little distant. Plenty of clapping and singing along (apart from the taper and his wife) throughout the show from those in attendence. Giant squid mics-->Zoom H2 line in-->Cool Edit Pro-->Flac level 6 DISC 1 1.
