Killer sold out show - all hail Jesse "The Devil"! Loud as always with Hutch, but sounded & looked great. Would have been nice to have Josh behind the kit for the show/tour, but Joey was a MORE than suitable replacement! Nice room for shows, 3rd time this year @ The Mod Club: earlier for The Gutter Twins then BRMC, but t'was to be my last for '08 sadly as Blind Melon in late Nov was postponed. Think it might have been before "Wannabee" that Jesse had many mics problems, moving all over the stage to find a working one (he later mentions it). Surrounded by idiot jocks w/fake 'staches on for "Movember", that chatted & walked around all show - really were just a bunch of young, drunk, annoying d-bags (as evidenced by one's declaration to me before "Wannabee" about it being the "best song ever"). Oh youth & alchohol, when will you learn. 2nd show of the day after catching them @ MTV Studios for a taping in the early evening. This might be 2nd show since upgrading to an 8GB SD card and recording in 24 bit - and really enjoying the raw results. As such, decided to leave this like that and not downsample to 16 bit, but my version of CD Wav had problems exporting as 24 bit so dithered in Audacity first. Was quite loud in taping position w/filter on, so mixed in Adobe for some dynamics. Pretty happy with the results, though vocals were still a little low IMHO (MP3 @ 320 kbps samples provided). Big thanks of course to the band for being open taping - get out & support these guys. Thx also to all who have taped & shared their EODM shows here on Dime & T-Den + etree & elsewhere. This is src #2 as corpusse shared his recording 1st on T-Den earlier this month or so. 1st show I just got tix for next year are them @ The Phoenix in Feb - should be another great one!
