I have listed them separately, however it should be noted they are 1 single release available in a choice of either DVD or CD packaging - the content is exactly the same on both versions. This is Sabotage's first DVD release (with a little help from their friends at Global Funkschool), and one look at the sheer amount of material they have managed to fit onto 1 single DVD should tell you something. They have crammed so much onto the disc that they have had to accept a loss in picture quality to make it fit. The footage is circulating on a fan released DVD-R (listed HERE), and this appears to be the source used for the Sab release. The picture quality is a little sharper with brighter, more vibrant colours, however the difference is not as impressive as one would expect, and evidence of the video compression is rather obvious during the first few songs. The sound quality however is far better on this release, with the audio having been boosted marginally. The real problem with this release (besides the DVD space being maxed out and the picture having to be compressed) are the out of sync audio problems. They are most obvious during parts of the LA acoustic set, and for the whole duration of the bonus NAACP footage. This is a very amateur mistake by Sabotage, and certainly something which should have been rectified before the DVD was released. It's sloppy, unprofessional and inexcusable. The accompanying booklet states that the NAACP recording is only on the audio part of the release, which means that it's addition to the DVD was a last minute decision. The added bonus Musicology pictures and Sabotage / Global Funkschool catalogues were a rather unnecessary bonus, and the release certainly doesn't benefit from their inclusion. On the whole this release is a disappointment. Sabotage could have (and should have) released a product which blew everyone away. Instead they chose to slightly tweak an already circulating fan release, add an average quality NAACP bonus, some nice pictures and a catalogue.
