Recording: NashPhil Soundboard > Digigram VX-Pocket V2 > Sound Forge 5.0 > 24bit/48k PCM.WAV > Sony Vaio PCG-C1VSX/K ---Mastering: NashPhil 24bit/48k PCM.WAV > 16bit/44.1k > CDR/SHN Resampled, dithered, & edited using Sonic Foundry Sound Forge 5.0 ---Notes: Actually is a matrix, The SBD was patched to a Mackie Mixer and the two stage mics were mixed with an ambient Shure mic placed near the SBD. I took the balanced main XLR feeds from that and barely got any signal. The guy running the mix was mixing for a radio station and kept forgetting and leaving ambient mic up during the song creating an echo during Ireland's and Gentle. I did what I could with what I had and made it sound pleasing.

Recordings: NashPhil & Pat Skerrett Soundboard > Digigram VX-Pocket V2 > Sound Forge 5.0 > 24bit/48k PCM.WAV > Sony Vaio PCG-C1VSX/K ...and... Audience - On Stage 10'Spread at Instrument Height Shoeps CMC6/MK4 > Lunatec V2 > Benchmark AD2K+ > Tascam DA-P1 > 48k DAT- --Mastering: NashPhil: I mixed both sources together afterwards with the SBD getting slightly more prominence in the mix. This is mainly for the vocals and to dampen the crowd chatter. Both sources sound amazing on their own. We had the Shoeps on swivel stands so we were able to move them as the musicians moved around on stage. During the Thile set, the Shoeps were less than 3 feet from Chris and Casey. We taped the stage/monitors with Shoeps, and we taped the Soundboard house mix in 24bit. You get a little of both.

Combined 2 sources afterwards in Multi-track using Cool Edit Pro. Mix is about 50/50. Levels were boosted and balanced to final mixdown. All of the tracks except first 2 are from this 4 track mix. The first 2 tracks are from the rehearsal jam before the soundcheck. They were sitting in a circle warming up. I put the 2 Schoeps on a swivel ORTF flexi-mount and spun them opposing each other. No mixing was done.
