Cool Edit Pro 2.0 was used to align & synch both sources. CEP2.0 used to adjust the volume for the center and LFE channels. Surcode CD Pro DTS was used to encode to DTS. -3db was NOT applied to the rear channels. Both of the sources for the front and rear channels were left at their original levels. - Mixed by dan@am-dig.com - Shn conversion 09-FEB-2004 - Artwork by dan@am-dig.com 300dpi - For best results print at the highest resolution onto glossy photo paper. Design for use with a clear single jewel case. --------------------------------------------------------- DTS-Audio-CD Info Front Left Left Channel SBD (Betty Board) Front Right Right Channel SBD (Betty Board) Center Mixed to mono -3db SBD (Betty Board) Surround Left Channel Sony ECM-990 Surround Right Channel Sony ECM-990 Sub/LFE Mixed to mono -3db SBD (Betty Board) --------------------------------------------------------- Notes Known Flaws: 1.2 second digital error at approx. 10:35 to 10:37 in Scarlet was patched using my 10 year old DAT copy that was labeled: SBD: Master Reel > DAT. The result is smooth and most likely undetectable. Crowd cheer/tuning between Estimated and St. Stephen was missing on the AUD source. I used a "crowd cheer/tuning" from another portion of the same Aud recording. I also shortened the overall length by a minute. No music is missing and it came out sounding smooth and natural. The first set was riddled with btwn song cuts and had several cuts in songs on both the SBD and the AUD. It is possible to make a DTS and a matrix mix for set one but the final result will be very "choppy". Maybe someday but for now, enjoy this! --------------------------------------------------------- More On DTS Today's audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound, like DTS and Dolby Digital. While the Audio-CD standard (Red Book) hasn't changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it is still possible to go around the specification and to put a 5.1 surround recording on a regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio CD, so the first time you're trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low, start the disc and rise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analogue audio outputs of your CDDVD player. Burning Instructions Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any normal Audio-CD from .shn files.
