Comment
This is the first of the three legendary Counting Crows shows from 1992.
Little, if anything, is known about these shows. No one knows who taped
them or how they taped them. From listening, it's obvious this show was
an analog audience recording. You can hear people talking, etc. No digital
or pure-sourced versions have ever turned up.
When the shows first surfaced, they were treed on various newsgroups on CDR
and tape. This is where these SHNs come from. They were ripped from one
of the CDRs from those trees using EAC. So this is as pure as it gets.
Any glitches, such as clicks or pops are present on the original analog
source and are not the result of the CDR. Most CDR versions of this
show have multiple generations of tape hiss on them. These SHNs only have
the amount that was present on the original treed CDRs. Also at some points
the sound shifts a bit between the left and right channel, this is also
present in the original.
