Set 1
Guster
June 24, 2000
Deer Creek Music Center, Noblesville, IN
Opening for Dave Matthews Band
Taper: Joe Shambro
Source: Oktava MC012 (Cardioid) > Denecke PS1's > D7
XY 90, Front Row Right Stack, Mics at 22'
DAT > CD/SHN: Joe Shambro
D7 > S/PDIF > Montego II+ > CDRWav
***No DAE. DAT > WAV > SHN
Recording Notes: Extremely Windy. Guster played during
a downpour that somehow stayed right above Noblesville all day.
Someone stole my windscreens on 6/23 and I had to do without.
Disc 1 All:
01. Dave Intro
02. Barrel of a Gun
03. Happier
04. Bury Me
05. I Spy
06. Airport Song
07. Either Way
08. Great Escape
09. What You Wish For
10. Demons *
11. FaFa *
* - with Dan Meyers on Sax.
Recording Notes:
- Why can't venue soundmen ever mix the opening act right? The instruments
were tight but the vocals were boomy.
- Note to prospective future tapers -- Humidity will fuck you up. I couldn't get my DAT
to load the tape without giving a humidity error for the first couple minutes I was there;
there's some diginoise spotty throughout the whole performance because of this.
- Wind, wind, wind. I applied a high pass filter to remove the severe wind noise, but
there's still some points where it sounds like dropouts because the wind was so severe.
