"Of the 10 or so MOAM shows that I attended, I taped six and I think that all of them circulate:

Toy Tiger - Louisville, KY Dec. 4, 1996
Exit/ In - Nashville - June 7, 1997
Exit/ In - Nashville - Nov. 13, 1999
The End - Nashville - Sept. 26, 1998
The End - Nashville - March 8, 2001
 
All six were recorded with the same equipment:
 
Sony ECM-737 (microphone in my shirt pocket) -> Sony D7 (DAT @48khz) -> Cool Edit Pro (via SPDIF input) -> CDR/or DAT/or Cassette
 
I have traded them on DAT, CDR and cassette..."

"They aren't perfect but they weren't intended to be.  With the microphone in my pocket there are instances of minor volume drops as revelers passed in front of it.  I usually rolled tape a few minutes before the band took the stage so the recordings include the intro tape that was played as the band made final adjustments to their gear before the show starts.  Also, there are times that I kept recording after it was over to get the ambient sounds....  I think it adds to the "You Are There" aspect.  I believe the recordings are most enjoyable when listened to in a good set of headphones."

--Additional Notes on lineage--

Skip generously provided all 6 of his recordings to be placed in the Live Music Archive, by extracting his own discs to give single a FLAC file for each show, with a cue sheet to show his original track points. I simply broke them up in CDWav with the cue sheet loaded, then recompressed with FLAC Frontend Level 8, with no tagging or replaygain.
