AndrewF posted the following analysis of the "hoax" 10/6/77 tapes:
"I decided to sit down and decode the "hoax" source and figure out what's what in that file-set. The results are below, and I'm positive are entirely correct. This is true for all three (and counting) ID's for this: 5804, 19138, and the recent 101801. Let's hope people stop adding this bogus pastiche hack job to the database...

Notes: I got this show on CDRs several years back in a trade. I have no info about the source. 
I performed no processing on these except to convert the wave files to SHN using the MKW 
compression tool. 
Most of They Love Each Other is missing and it is joined in progress. There is a small 
chunk of Friend of the Devil missing in the middle of the song as well.
There also is a noticeable splice at the head of Black Peter (from another source?). 
Finally, the encore, Uncle John's Band cuts near the end of the song.

"Tuning '77" - a seamless audio supercut of an entire year of the Grateful Dead tuning their instruments, live on stage.  Chronologically sequenced, this remix incorporates every publicly available recording from 1977, examining the divide between audience expectation and performance anxiety.
