Welcome. My name's Wes and I've been a trading fanatic off and on (mostly on) since 1996. I started off with a used Nak trading mainly Grateful Dead, some Leftover Salmon, Dylan, Allman Brothers Band, and little Phish. I bought an HP 2x CD Writer, which wasn't reliable enough to start trading CDs until I got a firmware upgrade in 1998. [Angels Sing] and I start trading CDs from here on. In 1999, I found out about strictly trading SHNs and I haven't had it any other way since. I got on etree in the early days (right around '99) and ftp'ed shows through college. Afterwards, it seems that some of my CDs went missing, but no fear, because with the wonderful archival trait of the net, I've been able to pick back up and keep truckin' on...
As I said, I only trade SHNs, I store these on DVD, which is what it means in my list under media when it says "SHN on DVD". Sometimes I list flac as SHN files, so if it matters, ask.
I'm rather strict on sound quality and grading. I don't mind an average or poor sounding recording, but I will not, 95 times out of 100, grade it higher than it should. My base for a C is a typical AUD taped nowadays on modern equipment. My base for an A+, controversially, is GD1977.05.08, Dead in Cornell, Set II. If I have it and you want it, email me with a trade request. I have access to some very high bandwidth when needed.
