CDs to use:
In order to get the best-quality and longest-lasting recording possible, I only use the following brands: Mitsui, Philips, Taiyo-Yuden, Kodak, Fuji, Verbatim and TDK. I don't trade with generics, Memorex, Imation, Maxell, or Princo as these brands have a history of extraction and degradation problems.
Ripping & Recording:
I use Exact Audio Copy in secure mode to copy CDs. If you don't have this, please get it and use it! This program will go over each sector multiple times to verify the data and will even correct some pops and clicks along the way. The program is FREEWARE, so you have no excuse! :)
I burn CDs using Nero Ultra and a Yamaha CRW-F1 burner. I only burn at 16x or slower and expect you to do the same. ONLY use Disc-at-Once as this eliminates the clicks or silences between tracks and yields a seamless, live concert experience.
Labelling:
Please do not write on the discs as I prefer to do this myself. Contents of the discs should be identified with either post-it notes on the outside of the sleeve or slips of paper inside the sleeves with the disc.
