Usual trading rules apply. But just in case you're not familiar with them:
1) DAO only. Please, no TAO. That includes even the tiny, stop/start, pauses that sometimes show up on discs I've received.
2) No mp3-sourced shows. My theory is that people knowingly or unknowingly trade mp3-sourced shows all the time, which explains the tiny pauses between tracks mentioned above. Break the cycle. Don't spread those shows around. I would like a seamless DAO copy of any show I have that says "tiny pauses" in the notes. If you are able to provide me with a replacement, you will earn my gratitude, generate heaps of good karma for yourself, and, much more importantly, help rid the free trading world of this evil scourge upon humanity.
3) Not too picky about media type. I've only had trouble with Maxell, so perhaps avoid those.
4) If you've got good recommendations/comments, or if it's obvious you're a veteran trader, I don't insist that you send first.
5) Be fairly prompt and courteous when trading. I turn things around very, very quickly in most cases. I consider it a bonus when people are friendly and punctual with email correspondence as well.
6) Stuff I'm looking for in particular: Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Allan Holdsworth, Tribal Tech, Scott Henderson, and any other great rock/jazz/blues/fusion guitar stuff.
7) Share and enjoy the music.
**Addendum**: The number of shows I receive with gaps, pops, clicks and other flaws has not decreased. To the contrary, it seems like with every trade there are always discs that need to be replaced. I'm tired of it. So, here's the deal. Do *not* email me for a trade if you have no idea what you're sending me. If you don't know what DAO is, don't email me until you figure it out. If you don't listen to your shows in their entirety and make note of significant problems such as gaps, pops, and clicks, don't email me. If you don't know how to configure your software to work with your computer to burn clean, seamless DAO discs, definitely do not email me. I hate to be this way, but it's a waste of my time to have to hunt down clean copies of discs after virtually every trade.
Thanks to all of the great traders with whom i've dealt. If you know what you're doing when you trade, and if you get as frustrated as I do when you receive shitty discs, then, by all means, *do* email me. I will welcome it!
