1. Be friendly. It really ruins the excitement of trading music if we're all business. If you want to trade me something, I just think it's cool to hear what you enjoy about it. Don't treat your shows like Beanie Babies or Star Wars toys.
2. Let me know your rules and preferences. I want to make sure you're happy with whatever I send you. Everyone's got their quirks, so if you have one I can reasonably comply with, please let me know.
3. Please, please no junky discs. No Maxell and especially none of those generic Staples and CompUSA discs. I'm as broke as anyone and I can still afford Fuji's.
4. I think this goes without saying, but always burn DAO (disc-at-once) for audio. No gaps, or at least none created by you.
5. This is more of a preference than a rule, and I never thought I'd say this, but... please don't write on the discs. I don't know whether it will hurt them a millenium from now or not, but for now, I write on my audio and write on the center circle of my SHNs. I just prefer to write on them myself because it's easier for me when I search through a bunch of them. An attached note is perfect.
6. After we trade, please give me some feedback on how everything came out. I want to make sure I'm passing on quality copies that may eventually be enjoyed by many more people. If something's messed up, I'll try to fix it. If it's great, all the better.
Feel free to email me anytime about trading or a BnP. As long as I have discs and a little time, I'll gladly trade anything.
