Statesboro Jam
Trouble No More
Goin' Down Slow
In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed

*Ending Only

Note-

Apparently this was an unmarked soundboard reel marked only as 'Tampa' and first circulated with an unknown date and venue circa 1970.

This is a partial show recording (first set only), and only the ending of 'Statesboro Blues' was recorded. Gregg Allman was not present at this show.

Bob Toman, an Allman Brothers Band collector, helped to track down what could possibly be the true date and location based on one of the comments of a person who sat on the stage at the show.

Quote: "Pete Schless from Venice, FL was playing the Hammond B3 for Greg who was out. During the show Mike Pinera (sp?) sat in along with drummers from Santana."

So, based off this info and ticket stub info, the show could have been:

Thursday, July 15 1971
Fort Homer Hesterly Armory,
Tampa, FL

Also appearing:
Melting Pot and H.Y. Sledge
Dancing allowed, bring blankets
Prices: $4.50 Advance - $5.50 day of Performance
Bittman Productions

However, there is no guarantee that this recording is from this specific date, as the Allman Brothers Band might easily have played this venue on more than one occasion.

Previously, the only information that was listed on the text file for this recording is as follows:

"As to the provenance of the Tampa show, it is murky at best. Matt (Smith) drove up to Dave Boswell's house in Spokane, WA and and unearthed this reel as he was looking for the Ludlow Garage reels. All thanks go to those two (Dave & Matt). Dave hadn't listened to his reels in decades and doesn't remember where he got the Tampa show--it most likely came from Jim Tarbell, the owner of the Garage or Danny Britt, the Garage sound man--my guess the latter."

CommentA recording dated ??/??/70 and marked only as 'Tampa' first circulated in about 2012. It may have been performed on this date. The setlist above (beginning with the end of Statesboro Blues) is from that 'Tampa' recording.
