WAV >Audacity (Removal & Repair Of Numerous Close-To Microphone Hand Claps, Selective De-Amplification Of Crowd Noise, Re-Track Combining Segue Bits Of Music With Main Tracks. Fix SBEs) >FLAC (Level 8) + Tags Via xACT 2.48 By OldNeumanntapr (WAV Files Sent Privately By Daspy) ***************************************************************************** OldNeumanntapr Notes: I got this recording as WAV files direct from Daspy. It had no text file and no set list, only a date and the MK4 notation. I was able to find the venue by searching Setlists.fm but there was no set list just a date and location. Now I at least knew the venue! There were some really loud hand claps close to the microphones that I removed and repaired in Audacity. It was a very minor process, as I am no where near in the same class for post production as Flying M in Los Angeles. This recording also had some indexes that were in the wrong locations. Plus, this was 'Jethro Tull, The Rock Opera' so there were many small segue-type bits of music, with vocals, that linked songs together. It was like one whole contiguous story told via Tull songs. I debated a lot about how to index this show. These bits have no official names, according to the Jethro Tull website, which I used to look up the lyrics. Some of these segue bits I indexed at the end of songs and other times on the front end. Some songs it just felt right to start from their beginnings, It works for me. The tagging would have been nearly impossible without complete titles, plus it's a pain in the ass to tag individual song titles especially if there are twice as many as necessary. The sound quality is unreal on this, and though I asked him about it, he had no memory of where he was in the hall. I think I was able to take out a lot of the really loud hand claps but it takes forever to do this and I didn't really even do it as completely as I could have. I want to go out of my way to tread lightly on his shows because he is nice enough to send stuff to me, as I am unable to download torrents, and I don't want to upset him with a 'remaster'. I have received permission to share this on a limited basis but PLEASE to torrents or wide-spread shares. DO NOT post the link!!! Daspy does not want multiple versions of this to circulate, though I am unsure if he ever torrented his version. Do NOT Convert To MP3. Enjoy! Share freely, DON'T TORENT, don’t sell, play nice, don’t run with scissors, etc. ;) |
