I don't think I have viewed any of my recordings until today, fifteen years since I put the tapes in the back of a drawer. Here is the MTV News special hosted by Alison Stewart. Aside from her tepid delivery of a poorly written script, there is enough real stuff to make this an interesting keepsake. Jerry in his own words. Rememberences by poster artist Stanley Mouse, Timothy Leary, and author David Shenk are mixed in with reactions by fans and fellow musicians. While several video tributes have surfaced and contain some portions of this program, this is the first time to my knowledge that the complete MTV Tribute has been shared in trading circles. This tape has some video issues - light and dark fluctuation, that seems to be on the source tape. This minor annoyance has no real consequence upon the content of the video. |
