Comment | NOTES: Really nice show, with lots of
texture and finesse by Joe and Joel (on accordion and backup vocals) in front of an appreciative crowd. New song "Miss Bonnie And Mr. Clyde" (think that's the title) is kind of a cross between "Me And Billy The Kid" and "The Road Goes On Forever," the second in the trilogy, Joe says. It's pretty funny, and he pretty much made it through unscathed as far as not flubbing new lyrics. Joe did a lot of picking up and down the guitar neck this night, and the fine house sound makes this a very enjoyable listen. He also played both of his Chihuahua songs , a handful of "Streets Of Sin" cuts, a beautiful version of Billy Joe Shaver's classic "Live Forever" and a jaw-dropping run through "Boxcars." |
