Note | Liberated Bootleg: "Keep On Wondering" (Godfather Records GR 606). This show is 10/23 (definitely not 7/26 because they play You Don't Love Me, a song debuted in October 1970. If it has YDLM, it's after 10/70). Great show with Duane and Long Mountain Jam at end of disc over 35 minutes long |

Comment | Note: Although www.allmanbrothersband.com lists a concert on this date at SUNY Stonybrooky, this setlist is identical to the well-documented setlist from 7.26.70 SUNY Stonybrook, and users have confirmed that a seed circulating as 10.23.70 is in fact another copy of 7.26.70.
This note is wrong. I have talked to Rowland Archer about this confusion a couple of times (he's the main guy over at Hittin the Web). Anyway, this show's correct date IS 10/23/70, but they also played SUNY Stonybrook on 7/26/70 and 4/28/70 and many many times in the Duane era. This show is definitely not 7/26 because they play You Don't Love Me, a song debuted in October 1970. If it has YDLM, it's after 10/70, and cannot, therefore, be 7/26/70. What likely happened was somebody was making a copy many years ago and they mislabeled it because the venues are the same and most of the setlist is identical. To add further confusion, they also played early and late shows on both dates! But, 10/23/70 is the correct date. |
