If anyone remembers them, it's mostly because their first 2 albums and the constant line-up changes they had throughout their career, leaving Phil Fasciana the only member who stayed in the band since its inception, although vocalist Bret Hoffman is with them again since 2005. At this very show they were the special guests of US metalcore band Unearth who invited them. Although it was something that might shouldn't have happen; this was clearly not MC's audience, so many people I talked to on the night came to see Unearth and didn't know a thing about old school death metal. I'm a fan of Malevolent Creation since the mid-90s and seen them many times throughout the years but this surely was one of the best shows I've ever seen from them! The rest of the audience just didn't buy it though, that's sad. I originally planned to see MC 3 times on their UK tour; went to Newcastle but the Glasgow gig got cancelled, and of course, London. Met Phil in Newcastle, we had beer and chat, to me he came across as a very nice guy. I also filmed both shows with his kind permission, but I'm still dealing with him regarding an upload of the London show here which has a good angle and a solid A quality for most part. I have to wait for a nod and if I get it, I'll upload it. I also filmed Unearth, but I don't know what will happen with that one. Audio will defo be coming up to Dime, but again, I have to wait for the permission to share the video. |
