A few months back I even didn't bother about Inflikted (the album), but now I'd call myself a fan of Cavalera Conspiracy after having the chance to catch the show! Well, the stage set up began and there was this big guy that was Max' guitar tech I assumed, he reminded me of a ice bear because of his white hair! It was funny watching him with Max's guitar on! The production of the show wasn't massive or special by any means but it looked pretty cool, I especially like the huge backdrop! Then suddenly the Inflikted intro started and all band members entered the stage and when the song kicked in the whole crowd went abso-fuckin-lutely crazy! There was nobody standing still, even that 30 (or somewhere around 30) years old looking woman to my left! Max is doing his rhythm duties and on lead guitar to his right (stage left actually) the soloing beast Marc Rizzo! He is surely one of the the more unusual/unique type of guitar players in metal out there- his guitar is almost hanging above his belly which reminded me a lot of Tom Morello who's guitar is at the almost same height (not quiet that high) and he constantly does this "roundhouse kick move" as well- which I haven't seen anyone do, especially a guitarist while he's playing! The guy really nailed every fucking solo in every fucking song while head banging/round house kicking like no other! Johny Chow on the 4 string motherfucker and of course Iggor were also brilliant! Richie/ Max' oldest of 3 sons also made an appearance on Black arch- he did some growling! The grand finale was Roots bloody roots for sure and there are no words to describe the chaos during this song! The only thing I could criticize is that at certain times you couldn't hear Max, because the rest of the instruments in the mix were a shitload louder than his vocals! Enjoy! |
