J-Card CommentLate Show opened for Kingfish 24bit notes Had to work at the Slipped Disc Records until 9:00 so only had a ticket to the late show. Used John Musgrave's recording equipment and set up about 20 feet away on the floor. Paused the deck between songs as many tapers did back then because tape was expensive. Something I soon realized was not a good idea, but I was just learning the basics. Recording this by myself was a little overwhelming at first and I made a lot of balance adjustments. Quite a bit of microphone clunks needed repair also. During post production mastering I made the adjustments to center the sound and correct the amplitude. Those distracting microphone bumps were smoothed over. The breaks from pausing between songs were also smoothed over to remove abrupt changes. For historical reference only and not intended for resale or any commercial use. Enjoy one of my earliest audience recordings. While I had the tape deck I recorded Tom Waits the next night just up the street at the Roxy. -M- (December 2014) FLYING M PRODUCTIONS FAN RECORDINGS FOR COLLECTORS TRADE FREELY BUT PLEASE DO NOT SELL
