Source InfoSchoeps CMC-64 (parallel power, 90 deg.) > Koch custom power supply > Casio DA-7 DAT (FOBH) 50’ from stage, center

Set 2: Neumann KM-54 (90 deg.) > Casio DA-7 DAT (FOBH) 50’ from stage, center

Tapers: Ed B., Mitch K., Evan, Kyle

By 1990, it got much tougher taping FOB at West Coast shows, mainly due to the head of BGP security “Jimbo”, and his staff constantly looking for tapers. It progressively got worse until the end in 1995. Anyways, Mitch was very excited about some new mods to his custom parallel power preamp, and convinced us to patch out of him at this show. Unfortunately, several people right around us got busted during the first set. We thought we were OK, until Ed got tapped on the shoulder about 30 seconds after Deal ended. We were able to get a few decks away while Ed and Mitch distracted security. Luckily, we still brought in our gear, and were successful in taping from the same spot during the second set. Mitch and Ed got some free tickets in the lot during intermission, and were able to join us right before the house lights went out for the second set. :) Thus, there are two different sources for this show that we recorded. I do not know if the file naming/tagging is correct for this unusual circumstance, so let me know what I screwed up. I hope this late period show is up to Winterland standards.
