Sound RatingA-
Note"Live In Buenos Aires 1992". Single disc Immortal release that ends after On A Plain. Pro sound but it has aged a bit and the mix is very light on guitar and heavy on bass for most of the show. This Immortal issue has a persistent analog buzz present during the quieter moments that disappears from the recording midway through Lithium. Much has been made of the band's antics at this show, but the performance isn't nearly as sloppy as some of the reviews I've read make it sound. Kurt deliberately flubs the lyrics to Come As You Are and a couple other tracks and there is a lot of between song noodling, but most of the tunes are pretty on the money. Though the shenanigans were meant to punish the audience, it's nice to hear the band clearly having fun and goofing around (Kurt even laughs during one verse of Polly). Cool show, even if this version is incomplete, and the rare inclusion of Beeswax in the setlist is definitely a selling point on its own.
