Tech NoteInfo File: Artist: Black Sabbath (Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne and Bill Ward) Date: 22nd November 1970 Venue: Fillmore West, San Francisco, California, USA Source: Audience recording Bootleg title: 'Paranoid World' Lineage: silver CD > WAV > FLAC level 8 Tracks: 1. Paranoid (2.47) 2. N.I.B. (5.36) 3. War Pigs (7.36) 4. Black Sabbath (8.50) 5. Iron Man (6.32) 6. Behind the Wall of Sleep (5.03) 7. Hand of Doom/Rat Salad (7.29) 8. Fairies Wear Boots 9. Wicked World Notes: An early US show by Sabbath. They play a lot off 'Paranoid' which was, at that point, unreleased. Interestingly, considering how often various Sabbath members have stated that they started out inspired to make 'scary music' because people went to see scary movies, Ozzy introduces 'Black Sabbath' as 'the main feature track' of their first album. Sound quality is good - nothing amazing, but considering it's a 38-year-old audience recording you can't complain. Really, you can't. ;) Fingerprints: 01\ Paranoid.flac: f082dc52cb60e655c280a1d751a80e91 02\ NIB.flac: cde6f03e08f5d42365dae4dee35effa0 03\ War\ Pigs.flac: 15d8bc6bf8cc94d1a625ca677dc51d4b 04\ Black\ Sabbath.flac: 7fad5c684eea6ddc998a3752958341c7 05\ Iron\ Man.flac: afe63decd384af99073b0e8a5d738d4b 06\ Behind\ The\ Wall\ Of\ Sleep.flac: 64b4440704546b4e3c204e4ad3e2038f 07\ Hand\ Of\ Doom.flac: 270c05c0b161048e7f06385a2231f6fd 08\ Fairies\ Wear\ Boots.flac: 0b5d6bec87aed11a190c7fde9fcf3972 09\ Wicked\ World.flac: 5867da89fea7760e54dfa726998c83e4

Immediately before Wall of Sleep, someone (Bill Graham, most likely) says "for the second time around, Black Sabbath" and Ozzy says "We'd like to start off with . . . Behind The Wall of Sleep." This either reflects a set break or the end of an early show and the beginning of the late show.
