september 17 2009 chicago, illinois memories sound professionals cmc8(w/low sensitivty modification>sp sbs 11@16>line in>r9>2gb memory card>audition>cd wave>tlh flac(6)>you the r9 mic jack crapped out right before ureghals set. thankfully there were no issues with the line in jack. hard limiting was done to compensate for the low volume of the recording. it was set to -0.15db and was boosted by 8db. some equing was performed as well the tracks were cut using cd wave. this was moved from the original venue (white star bar) memories is a small bar. its stage barely rises off the ground, providing more of an overall in your face experience. this was urgehal's first ever show in chicago its not too often that of these smaller kvlt bands come stateside. they did not dissapoint the small crowd. during one of the tracks, two thrashers in the mini pit took their shennagians too far and proceded to get on the stage, knocking into mannevond. he followed them into the crowd and let them know what he thought about it. nothing really came of it. nefas broke his g string during 'the eternal' and had to borrow a guitar from one of the other bands. overall, it good show, the sound could have been better as the vocals dominate the mix. it still has a necro feel and puts you right there, a mere few feet from frontline. trondor nefas-vocals/guitar enzifer-guitar mannevond-bass renton-battery 01) we are unholy 02) sodomizer 03) risus 04) dodsmarsj 05) mirror satan 06) the eternal 07) guitar swap 08) stesolid 09) satanic 10) antichrist share. enjoy. support the band by catching a gig if the play or through purchasing merchandise, even if its one track. |
