Note | I lost the original WAVs years ago in a HD crash and I don't know where the original tape is. So I recently ripped a CD-R copy I made years ago, and here it is. I was front and center, right in front of Mike, maybe 5 feet away from him, not sure, it's been awhile. It was a very small venue, and thus some of what you hear in this recording may be direct sound from the players (i.e. not just through the P.A.), like Patton's screams or Zorn's sax. You decide. Also due to how close I was and how laid back and small the venue was, when the show was over I just struck up a conversation with Mike as he broke down his equipment and was lucky enough to get it on tape. I asked him about his upcoming first shows with Rahzel on 9-7-03 which I believe were at the Knitting Factory in New York City (which I went to the early and late show and tried to tape but got my recorder confiscated during the early show) and some other stuff I don't remember. It's kind of hard to hear some of it so I included an eqed version of the conversation which hopefully makes it easier to hear what's being said. Some of my friends were talking to him as well, as were some other fans. We got a couple pictures too, one with just Mike and one with my crew and Mike. If I get around to finding them, providing I CAN find them, I can at least scan and upload the one of just him. As far as the other picture, I'm not sure if my crew wants their face on the internet (not sure if I do either). I also recorded the early show, but the CD-R I burned it to years
ago was too damaged to rip from. I recorded the early show from the center between the middle and the back of the venue, then when the show was over I moved to my front and center position for the late show. I've also included the EAC log file of the CD-R rip as well as an MD5 checksum file for the FLACS. Enjoy! |
