Note | Sometime during fall of 1996, East Village resident Barry Paddock was walking down 2nd Ave. At 12th Street he spotted a pile of cassette tapes left on top of a garbage dumpster. Curious, he decided to sift through he tapes to see if there was anything worthwhile. Most of the tapes were pre-recorded stuff like the Beastie Boys, which he didn't particularly care for but one tape he found was a blank tape with a hand written label that read "J. Buckley Stuff". Barry saved that tape from the trash and took it home.
The quality of this isn't great but, hey, who's complaining?! lovesick alien's update: ------------------------ Per http://www.flowersintime.org/gigfull.php?year=93&sort=date&dir=asc this is an incomplete WFMU "Music Faucet" broadcast from February. Per http://www.mojopin.org/pages/buckley_catalogue.php it is 17th January, which is also listed as a MF date on flowers in time. Dates attributed to the early days of Jeff's career are notoriously unreliable, but these are two of the best and most comprehensive sites, so I'm going with January 17th. YMM, of course, V This is apparently incomplete: sources say "Je ne Connais Pas le Fin" & "Dink's Song" were also performed that night, but a complete version of this show has yet to surface, if that is indeed the case. |
