b) Courtney Love frequently mentions Donnie (Donnie Wahlberg), begging him to "get out of that band." Date Information: July 12, 1991 is the correct date of this Hole show. However, a higher generation/lower quality version of this audience source circulates on an unofficial CD named "Moon Among Lesser Fires" which dates the show as July 13, 1991. The 13th is incorrect. Not only was this show listed as July 12 when I obtained this tape directly from the taper, but also I've verified from several sources (one being a newspaper article) that a reunion show of local Boston bands, including Unnatural Axe and the Real Kids, was held at the Rat on July 13. Also, for the record, anyone with a Hole show labeled as July 11, 1991 from the Rat is most likely in possession of the November 7, 1991 gig that Hole played there later in the year. At some point the month-day convention was switched, leading to another incorrect date. The Dickies and the Freeze played the Rat on July 11, 1991, not Hole. |
