Note | 3 Feet High and Risin' was on heavy rotation in my circles when it first came out. Highly innovative and influential album. Note the wave of copy cats to follow (I'm looking at you, PM Dawn!)...Hell even that Fresh Prince guy made a fortune copping their style from these guys...
So here ya have a recording from just after the debut LP was released...vox are a wee bit high in the mix to start off, but quickly improves to make this quite enjoyable! overall, a really good set from the early daze of the band...before they abandoned the hippie vibe and "grew up..." or should I say, 'Died'... |
