Finally, a great show with a decent capture. As many of you may know, I prattled on endlessly about how awful the Exit Mellon Collie boot sounds, as if that were the only problem with it. EMC is seriously flawed in so many ways, and if you own a copy of it, burn it, cut it up, make a cool design out of the left-over shapes. It is utterly worthless. But this one is just right. Though still somewhat heavily FM compressed, it sounds sooooooo much better. And lent itself well to the remaster process. The EQ needed some good tweaks, and it got maximized. |
