Sam was the second act of three great "new grass" bands that performed at The Other Tent on Friday. He was sandwiched between The Infamous Stringdusters and Trampled By Turtles. I camped out in front of the soundboard from 2-7 p.m. and had a blast. Ever since hearing a stream of a Sam show I've wanted to see him and I blew off the Avett Brothers set to do it. My son took the other taping rig and got them anyway.
