Note | UK : The Lostbrook Tape Series - Volume 15
I consider myself lucky to have been in the fifth row for the final performance by Fripp, Wetton, Bruford and Cross in Central Park on July 1, 1974, but that made the break-up even harder to handle. Fans everywhere were suffering from the withdrawal of these amazing musicians. It seemed like an eternity until Bruford finally appeared with Genesis in 1976. Then Fripp surfaced with Peter Gabriel in 1977. These were incredible moments and provided some relief, but now, with Bruford and Wetton together in concert again, we were another step closer to what everyone wanted to see. Holdswoth and Jobson completed this quartet and made U.K. an event that was not to be missed. This tape was recorded from the 14th row at the Calderone Concert Hall, another of my all-time favorite venues.
