| Tech Note | This bootleg album purports to contain an alternate version of Joni Mitchell's 1970 album Ladies of the Canyon in the form of live performances and TV and radio broadcasts made between 1969 and 1971. If so, Mitchell did a lot of lip-synching in those days, because for the most part, these sound like the original recordings (albeit only ten of the legitimate album's 12), and even when they are identifiably different (such as "The Circle Game"), the differences are slight. One looks to bootlegs to find something of an artist not found on that artist's official records. Here, one looks in vain. |
