Although not terrible the vocal is rather distant. If you know the words you'll have no problems singing along but don't expect this to be the disc you go to by default for a tasty fix of X. That said, no completist should be without this! It is not a bad recording... maybe even above average for a 25 year-old gig of a relatively unknown American punk band in London. (most Clash recordings I've collected are MUCH WORSE) I know we've been spoiled by the likes of Persic, Musigny23, and other California tapers... but they can't be everywhere. |
