| J-Card Comment | Info File: TYPE O NEGATIVE march 2, 1997 indianapolis, indiana emerson theatre 1st generation tape>technics rs t36r>r9(line in)>2gb memory card>pc>audition>cd wav>tlh (flac level 8)>you there were several points were it was necessary to mirror the left channel to the right channel. the tracks were cut using cd wave. otherwise nothing else has been done. picked this up from the taper who mentioned recording it while camped out for marilyn manson tickets, which could have been a few hours after the show in a different time zone. this is from the 1st gen tape he gave all those years ago. the recorder for this was nothing more than a simple hand held model. the taper doesnt recall what brand. makeshift mics made from headphones may have been used. it makes sense since the right channel cut out at various times, though this has been fixed this a lively audience recording and is overall not a bad recording. you will hear something rub the mics from time to time. the taper wasnt being statue-esqe at the the show. this would have been much better if it were not for the right channel issues. but dont let that detract from enjoying the show. the band is having fun and peter does his usual bantering with the crowd. 6.5/10 kill all the white people features a bit of led zeppelin's dazed and confused as well as jethro tull's aqualung. light my fire incorporates the main riff from iron butterfly's in a gadda da vida. if you needed to take a piss or a shit, it would have been the time to do it. this was ton's last show of the tour. shorty later they were on the bill for ozzfest 97. peter steele-vocals/bass kenney hickey-guitars/vocals josh silver-keys/backing vocals johnny kelly-drums disc 1 01)intro 02)prelude to agony 03)love you to death 04)cinnamon girl 05)christian woman 06)gravitational constant 07)summer breeze 08)set me on fire disc 2 01)in paradise of Bacchus 02)kill all the white people 03)light my fire 04)wolf moon 05)too late: frozen 06)my girlfriend's girlfriend 07)black no. 1 special thanks to narcalepticon for recording the band and providing the tape. you rule, dude. |
