Notes: This is the rehearsal in preparation, supposedly, for the time they opened for Keith Richards (they hadn't played live in over a year). It may be the only Replacements rehearsal tape in circulation. This seems to be an undercirculated recording, so I figured I would share it here at Dime. I received this tape from an anonymous collector that has been VERY cool about sending me some nice Mats stuff- He recieved this in a trade in the early 90s, before the advent of internet trades. I ripped it to CDR with NO noise reduction or Dolby. You get it exactly how it is on the cassette. There is some hiss present, but it is not distracting. I hate giving sound Q ratings because it's such a subjective practice, however I would give this one a solid 8 of 10. CMI lists this, however I have never been able to get my hands on the version mentioned. |
