* I received this tape and a recording of the second Auckland show in September 2nd 1984 in late 1988 or early 1989 (definitely before the Lovetown tour started in Australia) from a trader in Auckland on a TDK SA 90. The qualities of both recordings are quite good (for those days' standards). The confusion about the Wellington 1984-08-31 recording (from the "U2 treats U" bootleg LP) inspired me to transfer my old tapes. I only found incomplete versions of those shows on www.achtungbootlegs.com. For this reason I think those tapes have not been transferred and uploaded before. |
