But a very kind spirit here on dime pointed out to me that he found some info with google, and from there I was able to even add some more interesting information about this recording. I decided to sell some of my old bootlegs, and this is one of them. But before I did, I made copies for myself & to liberate them on dime as well. This recording comes from the very hard to find CD bootleg "Slower, deeper and harder" which was released in 1995. That source was taken from a vinyl bootleg with the same name, pressed on green vinyl. The remaining 3 tracks on this CD are officially released on the first album and a tribute compilation. This is a very interesting recording, from a period when the band still meant shit (and got a lot from leftwing activists). Captured during the first european tour, which was plagued with disaster. This show was no exception. Read below: Kenny Hickey in 1999: “It was in Stuttgart. That was years ago, man, that’s gotta be eight years ago. We were playing and somebody called in a bomb scare to cause a hoax and they stopped us in the middle of our set, they evacuated the whole club, they brought bomb squads and dogs and stuff. They didn’t find anything so we resumed the show. It was really strange. We had a bunch of radical left wings after us over there. They were after anyone they could get their hands on at the time in Germany. This one was a fascist, this one was a racist, this one was this… it was just a lot of political uncertainty and upheaval over there. It was right before [the Berlin Wall came down] or right after it I think, I have a piece of the Wall though. I’m not sure if it was a real piece or not, but the guy was selling them, so…” This page will give you an idea of how that tour in general went: http://www.spaink.net/english/groene_typeo.html Although, you can't hear any of the commotion on the recording (because it is cut more than once), this was actually the show that partly inspired the scenario of the "Origin of the feces" album, and therefore this is a historic recording ! This is definitely a MUST if you're into this era of the band. It's a raw soundboard tape with quite a good balance between voices and instruments. It may not sound like a crystal clear digital recording but I would still rate it B+ soundwise. Tr. 3 & 8 are originally from Peter Steele's previous band Carnivore. They sound kinda sloppy compared to the originals. Check out their two records. Like "Slow, deep and hard", these are classics in their own league. Actually Carnivore are doing some reunion shows at the moment, but apart from Steele, no other original member is included. I fixed up the recording a bit by correcting the speed with +0.28 semitones (tuned the organ to an exact A @ 440 Hz), took out the vinyl pops and crackles considerately, and replaced the original left channel with the less distorted right channel. This was 100% mono already, so nothing got lost. That's all, no other remastering and certainly no noise reduction. The original bootleg artwork is included. The trackindex doesn't match though, as the sleeve doesn't mention the first track. I did a frequency analyses and the source is guarenteed lossless. Enjoy!

CommentThe Carnivore songs "Race War" and "Predator" are reworked Type O Negative style.
On the silver disc bootleg "Slower, Deeper, Harder" the tracks "Unsuccessfully Coping With The Natural Beauty of Infidelity", "Der Untermensch" and "Black Sabbath" are included after the song "Predator".
