Note | Attended. This was a very hot show. The recording leaves a bit to be desired, but I am very grateful that there is any historical document of this show at all. What I have is incomplete and not in the proper order: D1: All I Ever Wanted, Primera Invasion/Searchin', Tales of Kilimanjaro/Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen, Well Alright, Europa, Body Surfing, Savor, Jingo D2: Incident at Neshabur, Running, Soul Sacrifice/Aranjuez, E Papa Re, Love Me Two Times/Open Invitation, She's Not There. First couple of songs are murky and then the taper seems to improve his position or finally get his levels right. More for attendees and hardcore Santana collectors than casual collectors. Some guy in front of us ate a huge bag of mushrooms as the set began and was gorked out of his mind by show's end. It was hot as hell and we bought watermelon from a roving vendor; it was the best thrist-quencher I've ever had at a show. |
