J-Card CommentInfo Text from the version I have: Sex Pistols Mr George's, Coventry, UK, 1977-12-17 01. Seventeen 02. New York 03. EMI 04. Bodies 05. Belsen Was A Gas 06. Holidays In The Sun (slight cut in middle) 07. Anarchy In The UK (end missing) 08. Pretty Vacant Length: 33:23 Lineup: Rotten, Vicious, Cook, Jones cassette(aud, unknown gen from a trade in the late 80's) > wav > Adobe Audition(noise reduction) > Soundforge(eq) > CDWave(split wav on sector boundaries) > flac(6) Firstly I only used the right channel as it was better quality than the right. Apart from making the flac files half the size it makes no difference as the sort of portable tape recorder people would have used to tape the gig would have been mono anyway, recorded on either the tape recorder's built-in mic or the really cheap external mic that came with some tape recorders. The recording suffers from strange phasing, possibly due to the microphone being waved about, the person with the tape recorder pogoing etc... I've managed to eq out some of the harsh sounds but you can still hear phasing, more prominent during the second half of the gig. It's a shame because the vocals are quite clear in most of it. The end of Anarchy is presumably missing because the tapers c60 reached the end of side 1.
