NoteAfter listening to the recording, we noticed that while there's a pretty decent balance of the instruments, and a lovely "sharpness" to it, some instruments aren't as present as others (bass), and there are things that are buried under the recording (i.e: cheers, commentary, etc) that are drowned out by the instruments.

Also, the tape suffered from some tape speed issues, running a little too fast.

So, our goal(s) for this project was to try and balance the instruments of this tape, without losing that beautiful "sharpness" in the mix, bring out the things buried in the tape, and correct the tape speed issues.

What we've done to make this project:

- We've tried to balance the instruments as best we can, without losing the sharpness in the tape. Originally, the raw recording had more guitar, vocals, and drum fills in the mix than bass, which probably made the recording so sharp, but it needed a little smoothing/rounding out. So we've done our best to try and balance all the instruments out for a more evenly distributed, yet still sharp, mix.

- We've done some tape speed correction on the raw recording, originally the tape was running a little fast, and so we slowed the tape down about 5%, and now it's running at it's correct tape speed.

- We've tried to bring out things that were buried under the instruments and hiss (i.e: crowd cheers, clapping, commentary, etc). After we finished the remastering we could actually hear things we didn't pick up on before, (i.e: the echo effects used by Plant at the end of "Heartbreaker", and the extra little ad-libs at the end of "Thank You").

- We've tried to reduce as much tape hiss as possible. The raw recording had quite a bit of tape hiss in both channels, we've pushed the tape as far as we can without dulling the sound quality.

- We've tried to create a feeling of ambiance for the listener as best we can.
